What I learned this awsome summer with my awesome teacher Ms.Krissy

This summer 2011 i learned many things from Ms.Krissy. I learned how to debate and I even heard the latest news which I usually don't look into so clearly. In this summer I had lots of fun with debating with everyone, but sadly half our class is gone and hopefully we'll all see each other next year in advanced debate and have another year of fun with you Ms.Krissy.In this wonderful year of my first time in debate I found out that Ms.Krissy really likes Monster and Del taco, and this year I learned how to do speeches a lot better and speak out in front of much more people without being afraid. Also this year I met more people to talk with such as Cindy,Ashley,Sarah,Johnny,Timothy,Bryan, and most of all the person who brought us together and made everyone laugh :) Ms.Krissy. I am very thankful for all the fun times we've had together, and I hope I can meet you next year, and have another awesome/great summer with you again. :) I love you Ms.Krissy I will miss you bunches. ;(

Obama Goes On The Offensive In Michigan: Republicans Are Playing Politics At The Country's Expense

In Michigan today, an impassioned President Obama accused Republicans in Congress of trying to score political points “at the expense of our country” and said that the “constant bickering” in Washington was partly to blame for the nation’s slow economic recovery.
“There is nothing wrong with our country. There is something wrong with our politics,” Obama told workers at the Johnson Control Inc. advanced battery factory in Holland, Mich.
In the aftermath of the debt debate, the president told Americans that he shares their frustrations with the partisan gridlock in Washington.
“What we've seen in Washington the last few months has been the worst kind of partisanship, the worst kind of gridlock, and that gridlock has undermined public confidence and impeded our efforts to take the steps we need for our economy,” he said. “There are things we have to do to erase a legacy of debt that hangs over the economy. But time and again we've seen partisan brinksmanship get in the way, as if winning the next election is more important than fulfilling our responsibilities to you and to our country.”
Once again, Obama called on Congress to pass stalled measures that he said would help create jobs immediately, including investing in infrastructure, extending the payroll tax cuts and reforming the patent system.
“The only thing keeping us back is our politics. The only thing preventing these bills from being passed is the refusal of some folks in Congress to put country ahead of party. There are some in Congress
right now who would rather see their opponents lose than see America win, and that has to stop. It's got to stop,” he said.
But Obama admitted that “given the weakness of the economy, we need to do even more” and said that he is prepared to offer up additional proposals of his own to spur job growth and boost the economy.
“Over the coming weeks, I'm going to be putting out more proposals, week by week, that will help businesses hire and put people back to work. And I'm going to keep at it until every single American who wants a job can find one,” he announced.
Again, the president called for a long-term plan to reduce the deficit and reiterated that both parties have to be willing to compromise. “Everybody's got to do their part. Everybody's got to chip in. That's fair. You learn it in kindergarten,” he said. “The problem is not that we don't have answers. The problem is, is that folks are playing political games.”
The president, who is set to go on vacation himself later this month, also addressed the criticism he’s received for not calling Congress back from its August recess to focus on the economy.
Instead of “spending more time arguing in D.C.,” the president, who is about to embark on a three day Midwest bus tour, said, not surprisingly, that “they need to spend more time out here listening to you and hearing how fed up you are. That's why I'm here.”
Week 9

The U.S. Postal Service is considering cutting as many as 120,000 jobs! After facing a year of losses totaling to around $8 billion dollars, the agency wants to take out its workers from health benefit plans, as well as retirement plans. In order to do this, congress needs to approve of these plans. Over the past four years, the postal office has cut 110,00 jobs! Many things are contributing to the post office recession. For example, the internet. Many people use the internet to contact each other, rather than my mail. Post officials need to make a $5.5 billion payment to cover future employee health care costs, which is due by September 3oth. If congress doesn't act soon, the post office will not be able to make the payment by the due date.
Republican Presidential Blogging Debate

The six contenders had debated for the whole night now, but only two are left standing which are bachmann and pawlenty. The contenders had been taking their campaign in Ames, Iowa, but now they are taking it nationally. Both contenders are currently discussing about repealing the obama health care. They also are discussing about the amendments specifically the tenth amendment which"runs amock" for gay marriage. This is happening currently.

Week 8 and 9:Facebook Kid Users, Massive Heat Wave in Texas with Water Shut Down

Last week I was at a camp with no Internet access to Blogger! So I am making this work up for last week. I'm not making the story up but I am well...I think you know what I mean.To cover up last week's story, I am writing about how Facebook kid users do worse in school. Facebook make kids more depressed and unhealthy due to scientific reasearch. This social-media site can also hobble learning. "Reasearch has found that students in middle school, high school, and college who checked Facebook at least once during a 15- minute study period got lower grades." Bonnie Rockman says from CNN.

A Big big sculpture

Oliver Voss created the 4meter mermaid sculpture which is in Alster Lake in Hamburg right now. It has nick-names such as "Riesen-Nixe"or "Badenixe". This beautiful beauty will only only be here for a while until August 12. It is sad that this extraordinary sculpture must go but those who see it must be glad they were able to see such a wonderful statue in the water. Most of the people like seeing this beautiful sculpture in the evening where the sun is down with the bright blue sky in the air still with beautiful cities surrounding it and most of all a bridge. This statue came to this wonderful lade on August 3 and will be leaving soon but those who were able to see it were very blessed.
Earth's Moon

Giant Statue

Oliver Voss recently finished creating a four meter high "Mermaid" Sculpture that was in Germany's Alster Lake. This sculpture was made to stay until this August 12. This sculpture was used to advertise a Miami Ad School. This sculpture also was to show a woman bathing in the lake. As the tourists and citizens in Germany saw this twelve foot master piece, it made the people be curious of the reason to create a lady in a lake. They would also get into boats and ride to be face to face with the sculpture.

Terrorism

Week 7 : Terrorism

Terrorism
Terrorist

Terrorist Terrorist Terrorist all u do is harm people . I belive terrorist should not be doing what they are doing, because all they do is hurt people which is really bad and hurtful. Some of these people are forced to do this stuff because if they dont they will die or their family will go into great debt. Even so i understand you must do this but it is still very sad that they are forced to do this sad stuff. Some do it for revenge, revenge will never solve anything in life so they really should stop hurting other innocent people who deserve their chances to live. I really do wish that terrorist attacking would stop because if u have lived your life and u think that the world sucks that dosent mean u get to go and ruin others either.
