Earth's Moon

Some scientists are saying that Earth may have had two moons in the past. Scientist say that a tiny second moon might have orbited around Earth before slamming into the other one. This piece of information could be the possible reason why the two sides of the moon are not similar. The second moon around Earth would have been 750 miles wide. Because of gravity, the Earth has only been able to see one side of the moon. The other side of the moon was a mystery until 1959 when the Soviet Luna 3 spacecraft first snapped photos of it. The other side of the moon is very different from the side that we see every night. Now, scientists may have found the reason why.
