Food Inc.

Last week, we watched the dark side behind food. It sickens me to see animals abused just so the company can make an easy buck. It's not only the animals, but the workers are just as abused with small pay. I was definitely shocked at the way workers treated the animals. According to them the death of animals, such as chickens, are "normal". When I watched the movie, I say the chickens unable to move because of the weight that they cary in their breasts. Companies insert hormones into pigs or chickens in order to produce more meat from one animal. It isnt just the meat, vegetables are also part of the contamination process. Corn is fed to animals, because its cheaper and easier instead of fresh grass. A high corn diet could result in ecoli, a deadly disease, and we're eating the meat from corn-diet animals. Shame on us. The most dramatic parts was seeing the animals getting killed. Ever since watching this, my diet has changed; every time I go to buy groceries, I make sure to buy grass fed meat. Animals that graze on grass have a lower chance of getting ecoli. That means if we eat those meats, we have a lower chance of getting ecoli. Thank god there are some good people that prepare organic food and care about the public. Time to eat some fresh food!! http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KJkK2ELhZOKlwANKGjzbkF/SIG=135i1fe99/EXP=1310105348/**http%3a//henrymillerlibrary.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/foodinc.jpg%3fw=500%26h=690
