Recently California passed a law that requires all schools textbooks and history classes to teach about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Americans. I think it's really good that they will now be teaching students about those subjects. Teaching students about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people will let the students know that there's nothing wrong with those people in the world. Also if students learn about these subjects they will learn to accept and treat those people equally. Teaching students about this might also decrease the amount of bullying in school since after they learn about these subjects they'll learn that there is nothing wrong with gay and lesbian people.
