New LGBT BILL

Recently, California state governor, Jerry Brown signed a new bill that requires schools to teach about the contributions of gays and lesbians made to society. This is the first bill of its kind. California laws state that we must be taught about contributions of Americans, Native Americans, and more, so why not about gays? Today, many of the american population are gay. We shouldn't discriminate against them. Being taught about them shall allow us to learn that there is nothing wrong with gay people in the world. Learning about them also teaches us to accept them. I believe that Jerry Brown is correct in signing the bill. Jerry Brown said in a statement," History should be honest." I support him in this bill. Also, if a celebrity you like is gay, would that stop you from enjoying his/her music or movies? We should treat everyone equally, gay or bisexual.
